Introduction to Animal Kaiser - for Newbies
Animal Kaiser is a hybrid collectible card/arcade game. There are three types of card: Animal cards, Strong Cards and Miracle Cards. Players buy packs with a random assortment (you can also win cards by playing the game) and combine one card of each type to form their deck. Animal cards consist of a variety of animals with different stats, ranging from Gorillas to Scorpions; Strong Cards affect your Animal Card’s stats; while Miracle Cards let your animal perform a specific Super Move.You can play against either the computer, or another player. Each player starts by scanning their cards into the machine. The game itself is a one on one fight. The combat mechanic uses a roulette style system, where players will watch a series of numbers and symbols scroll by. The first wheel chooses your Animal’s Attack, while the second wheel chooses your Attack Power. Each player presses a button to stop the wheel spinning. The player that stops his Attack Power wheel with the highest digit gets to perform his move. Once the attack is complete, both players must spin their wheels again.
Each attack deals a certain amount of damage to the other player’s animal. When you deplete your opponent’s life bar, you win the game.
HOW THE GAME WORKS
A player first inserts four 50-cent coins into the coin slot. He can choose to duel with the Animal Kaiser machine or with a second player.
First-time players are assigned a default animal. After that, players get to choose their avatars by placing their animal cards on the gaming kiosk’s barcode scanner.
The game operators do not sell the animal cards. Players only get a card at the end of each game, dispensed randomly. They get more cards by playing more games or by buying from other players.
When players build up a sizeable collection, they can mix and match different cards to increase the power of their animal avatars.
For instance, they can scan tag-along “strong” and “miracle” cards for enhanced attacking force (from level one to five) and special powers like a meteor shower. Such enhancements increase their chances of winning a duelling match.
Each game lasts about five to 10 minutes depending on the strength of the duellers.

Part of the reason they were there was to catch a special guest appearance by Akihiki Arai, producer of the Animal Kaiser series of games, who was unveiling Animal Kaiser Version 3. the newest edition of the game, which will be hitting Singapore arcades @ April2010

Exclusive Interview with Mr Arai
Gameaxis official caught up with Akihiki Arai, Producer of Animal Kaiser, to ask him more about the game.We had use "GAX" to represent Gameaxis official.
GAX:
Animal Kaiser is aimed at younger children. Does it have any educational value?
Arai:
We try to combine education with fun. All of the Animal Cards are real animals, each one has its name, as well as where it comes from and some information about it. If you can build up an entire set of cards, it will be a bit like an encyclopedia. We tried to bring entertainment to education.
GAX:
What are the differences between the different versions? Are the cards compatible with all versions?
Arai:
Yes all versions can use the same cards. The main difference was that we added new, more complex creatures with each version. In Version 1, we tried to keep it simple and use only creatures young children will recognize like lions and pandas. In version 2 we added more unusual creatures like the Scorpion. Version 3 has the Tarantula creature type, which also has its own unique attack, in that it uses Venom.
GAX:
How much strategy is involved in Animal Kaiser?
Arai:
Not that much. It’s a simple game. There is strategy in which cards you pick to battle with, but it’s a children’s game so the skill level is quite low. It’s more about how lucky you are, but I think that appeals to children.
GAX:
What’s your favorite creature from the game?
Arai:
In the game, I like the Orangutan because he’s smart. He uses a remote control to perform attacks, and he uses his brain, not just brute power like some of the other creatures – he has really enjoyable moves. It’s not in the game yet, but I also like the Giraffe. We wanted to put him in the game, but because he’s so tall we’ve had problems with his head getting cut off by the top of the screen! We have to work that one out.
GAX:
Do you have any tips you want to share with players?
Arai:
Yes! To get the most enjoyment out of the game, when you strike the button, you must wish to win! (laughs)

Story : Kid wants to buy cards...
Nowsadays...kids are smart ...they have their own handphone and they are independent to sms/call card sellers for Animal Kaiser card deal ...all by themselves, without the help of their parents or grand parents.
Here are some of the unusual encounters shared by ourrd seller while dealing with kid:
Case (1)
Kid: What v2 cards you sell?
Donkey: All v2 cards.
Kid: Do you have BH?
Donkey: Yes, i got all the v2 cards, including BH.
Kid: How much?
Donkey: 18
Kid: You have Scorpion?
Donkey: Yes, i got all the v2 cards, including Scorpion.
Kid: How much?
Donkey: 45
Kid: You have Lion?
Donkey: Yes, i got ALL the v2 cards, including Lion. What cards do you want?

The day came i call him for deal no reply. Lan Lan leave lor. Next day he call & tell me he lost his phone and ask me to reserve the cards for him ya like real. But being nice i reserve the cards till 2day still no news. Wat’s up with these kids they want or don want jus say don waste adults time.

This is for the kid that keep smsing for asking questions like what card u have, which card is cheap, what should i buy, can it be played, which ultimate is good, what version is that card, when u think it can be used, etc etc. I have correspond the last 1 mth on sms with you And in the very end never at all buy or trade. Pls go check out the facts and what u really really want before u spam sms. *-*
Sms to you kids is fun but to adults it may not be especially when we are driving. Pls understand at times why we cannot reply immediately. we may be busy with other stuff. *-*. I will always reply to sms once i am free. Do not spam sms for a reply.
kids need to learn to be patient and check out the facts before starting to blast sms. *-* Uncle joe not AK dictionary LoL…
