Story : Beginner luck ~

2 weeks had passed since Version 3 launch and believe it or not ...our family had not play even a single version 3 game. The main reason is let all the fisherman/fisherwoman fight/slaughter among themselves 1st duing the 1st 2 weeks...we will avoid their rare card hunting battle fighting...

So yesterday got some spare time with my 2 boys , bring them down to the arcade.
Elder son (kelvin) take 1 machine and younger brother (Benson) take another machine. Both of them so long did not play AK , so they are excited to challenge the new siefried boss.There is no other customers that time.

I look @ the version 2 machine , thinking to myself whether to try $1 tikam my luck? ...but in the end , only thoughts but no action.

After awhile , a mother come along and bring her 2 boys. Big boy quickly run to the 3rd machine to play version 3. Left the small boy sitting at the last machine that offer version 2 (clear stock , $1 per game).

Note : there are 3 machines with ver 3 and a 4th one is @ ver 2

I start talking to the mother while watching the boys playing the games. The mother say that her 2 boys seldom play and they are just beginners ...not so regular coming to arcade. I reminded the mother that her small boy is playing at Version 2 which is a old version. Mother ask young son...and small boy told her , "never mind..mummy...its ok" and he continue playing

1st card from version 2 dropped out...small boy took it out from slot , turn it over....i nearly fainted....its a GOLD bengal tiger !!! OMG
He was so happy~

My elder son just finished his 1st game and took a normal card (Golden eagle). I tell him to come over to play together with Benson for 2 players so that the small boy can go play Version 3.

Samll boy & mother thanks us and he going over to take kelvin's place . He played 1 game....game ended...a red card drop out.. its.an animal card ...he turn it over...i saw his card...again..this time almost fainted once more...its a SILVER HIPPO LARRY !

Kelvin felt the pinch of pain in his heart , "Daddy , we should play 1 more just now...you see...its silver card"

I was speechless ...haha ....had forget to check the sequence before ask him go over to his brother's machine ...* nearly go bang my head to the wall* ...lol

In the end, we got a bronze giant panda and a silver black hole before we left the arcade to go home.

That small boy really got beginner's luck or maybe i'm just unlucky ?

Heard this story from a forum talking about 2 uncles fighting over for Special Ops Leo

Uncle(1)was sitting @ the machine fishing....he know that this deck there is special Ops leo ...coming soon...

Out of nowhere, another uncle(2)pop up and he also know the sequence very well. Uncle (2) wanted to catch the Special Ops leo from the same machine

So Uncle(2) ask uncle (1) how long he still want to play. Somehow...the tone communication wasn't too nice ...uncle(1) was not happy. He try to "act rich" and say proudly ..he still got $50 , still can play many games...does not want to give up the seat.- show uncle(2) a black face

Uncle(2) also not happy and fight back saying that he himself had prepare $1000 ! even try to show off the $$$ to uncle (1)

Being frustated by the showoff act, uncle(1) does not want to admit defect ,he called up his friend to bring down $300 ...so that he can complete the entire deck and get Special Ops Leo....and nobody else can fight with him !

Uncle(1) Win loh !

Uncle (2) no choice had to walk away quietly....

Heard another story that someone played almost 200+ cards just to fish out the special Ops leo !! This guy got $$ but no brain ??? Use $400+ for 1 gold card ?? i call it STUPID

Story : Helping a newbie

Today went to the arcade center quite early.

There is not many customers inside but someone caught my attention when i walk in.
There are 4 animal kaiser machines and 1 young man was playing @ the machine that is clearing off version 2 cards.

I went to chit chat with the arcade staffs on duty and then went over to start fishing for GOLD ...today 3 GOLDs are ready to drop ...wow !!

With $100 worth of tokens (2 bags)...i hardly can walk to the AK machines ...so heavy ..

I was busy loading all the credits into the machine slots...then suddenly this young gentleman by the name of DON approach me.

"Can you teach me more about this game? " he ask politely

Ooh...a newbie ...a new player who doesn't know the basic gaming rules of animal kaiser and he just sit there pressing the button but do not know how to match the cards.He do have some good cards such as mighty fighter but he does not know how to differentiate between the foils.How to tell its version 1 , 2 or 3...so many doubts & question about this game.

I give him a good 5 min lectures on the basic animal kaiser lesson introduction.
Get him a version 2 and version 3 cardlist + a nice free promotion bengal tiger card for him. Don was happy to receive them and he went to the counter to change another $10 worth of tokens to play at Version 3 machines...he was lucky to get a bronze giant meteor card. The arcade unacle @ counter is also happy as i've help him bring in more business. I am happy that Don had join our animal kaiser gaming community ...its never too late to join ...

I still remember that few months back during version 2 times, i also introduce this game to a small boy and his parents immediately charge $20 to their Timezone card and let him play. His parents even ask me whether i am the Animal Kaiser promotor ?..haha..of course i am not lah

Another AK fan playing there also make joke that i should work for the arcade center since i can do so good sale and service ...lol ....now think back , its really nice and sweet to help newbie. If you encounter one new player, do help him/her ,you will gain the happiness when you see the smile from their face. Experience it yourself !
