The beetle horns are actually bigger than elephant tusks

Animals as killing machines

Comments response :

Haven’t animals been treated as ‘mere objects of brutal sport’ for centuries? If Mr Liew is such a crusader for animal rights, perhaps he should direct his energies towards banning cock and cricket fighting in China where animals actually suffer instead of making a fuss about some fanciful epilepsy-inducing bits and pixels.

As silly and ‘misrepresenting’ as some of the Animal Kaiser battles are (Elephant vs Stag Beetle, Eagle vs Narwhal Shark..on land!), there’s nothing wrong with animals being portrayed as ‘killing machines’, unless your idea of the Animal kingdom is the Mandai Zoo. Nature is a bloodthirsty bitch, as any animal documentary on okto channel would tell you, red in tooth and claw. Hell, you may even think Frogger is a violation of amphibian rights. In fact, being crushed by a vehicle is a worse death than any of the signature finishing moves in Animal Kaiser.

Other than turning kids into violent adults and adults into violent kids, the game’s card trading business could also turn them into gambling addicts, apparently.

2 September, 2010, Singapore – IAHGames, Games Credit Asia (GCA) and Cathay Organisation opens “AK Club@E2Max“, the first Animal Kaiser flagship store outside of Japan. AK Club@E2Max will be the only Animal Kaiser-themed club and largest Animal Kaiser venue in Singapore with 8 game machines. AK Club@E2Max offers a dedicated area for game-play and tournaments, & for card-trading, socialising and building of fan network.

Operating hours are from 12pm to 3am on weekends, and 12pm to 12am on weekdays.

In September, regular tournaments will kick off which is co-organised by the local Animal Kaiser community. Solo and Team categories tournaments will be held monthly, culminating in an annual grand tournament for Solo participants. There is a leader board in the store which will rank the monthly tournament winners, counting towards seeding for the grand tournament. Prizes for these tournaments will include exclusive tournament kits of special cards and box sets, which cannot be obtained elsewhere.

Animal Kaiser was first launched in Singapore in June 2009 and currently there are over 200 Animal Kaiser machines in Singapore. I was fascinated to learn that Animal Kaiser has an educational element using real world animals to teach children about the animal kingdom in a fun and enjoyable way. Every animal in the game is based on actual data and facts. Furthermore, players scan their “animal” game-cards to play as their animal avatars in the machine. Scanning “Strong” cards and “Miracle”cards enable them to boost their avatar’s abilities and endow them with special attacks. Upon completion of each session, the machine dispenses a card. The more you play, the more cards you get to collect.

The back of the Animal Cards

I was told that the game is meant for people of all ages from as young as 3 to as old as 80. Animal Kaiser is a game that involves parents and children as they pair of well together. Some of the parents I met at the media event are also organizers of some of these tournaments. They are all parents of children who play the game often and also participate in tournaments. They were all very well versed with the game and show a lot of passion in bringing together families because of the educational and family bonding nature of the game.

I was give the chance to try my hand at the game, but being a terrible gamer, I decided to give it a miss and not embarrass myself. I watched on as other more adventurous members of the media played the game.

For the more serious gamers, E2Max has also teamed up with IAHGames to extend a holistic experience for PC e-gaming with the opening of “IAHGames iCafe” outlet at E2Max@Cine-L9. Gamers enjoy special buffs or in-game bonuses when they play IAHGames‘ host of selected games at the iCafe. They will also be eligible for Cathay’s promotional benefits.

Is it better to CALL or SMS ??

This deal incident is funny...because Adult Buyer prefer to fast deal by direct phonecall ...but Kid Seller scare to talk over the phone ...prefer to sms...

Buyer request
"I am in the process of dealing with someone on the cards i want to buy in my previous post. But i need more cards as follows: xxx(blah..blah..blah...)

Please pm/call me your selling price and i will revert.
Prefer fast deal i.e. meet tonight and cash on pick up. "

~ Donkey (Adult Buyer)

Seller's reply
"Donkey please sms me at 9xxxxxxx don’t call "
~ s984 (kid seller)

Response from Buyer
"Boy boy ... just let me know when and where you want to meet then we can deal. No need so ma fun sms here and there.
I call you, you say can’t then just call me and tell me.
You can call me at 9xxxxxxx.
Actually, last night i already got the cards but i will still buy from you since we confirm by pm liao. "

~ ~ Donkey (Adult Buyer)

Blog Master: Headache ...with different preference of communication channel...some like to call direct, while others like to sms. I still remember last time ...many years back when handphone is not so widely in use.. people scare to meet face to face in person ...so they choose to contact by using phone call (can hear voice only ...no need to see) ...Now...seems like human-to-human relationship is getting more further apart...more people are choosing to use sms ..(can see text only , no need see face , or talk) ...rather than direct talking over the lines ....my other phone bill racks up to $80 ... just by having so many sms over ak deal ...all profit goes to pay bill ...might as well not sell anything...effort gone ...we might cancel this phone # 97995539 soon...Note : Blog Master carry 2 handphones at the moment..

Beside SOL which gold cards version 3 still have market ?

"Hi All, I want to sale version 3 gold cards, beside SOL which gold cards still have market ? for $20 will U buy ? Thanks"
~ riyantotheo

Comments

"yea i will buy the red scorpion and bald eager 2 for $20"
~ AK 47, shooter

" the question here is ‘who want to buy’ ..... not ‘who want to sell?’ there are a few new starter (AK beginners) in this forum, you could try them at the range $20-25 each ....

those already have would be like the pricing from AK47 ..... here again ... marginal value ... keep as souveniors /collections .... lols. btw, we are trying to sell cards over at Indonesia .... while you do the reverse ..... interesting leh .... ha ha .... lols "

~ spaceshuttle

"What I know is that there are still demand for Ver 3 Scorpion, GWS and even Gorilla. That very much depend on how you market them. The logic is simple, when there is a demand, you need to adjust the price upward.

Another thing is the quality of the cards. Mint cards from older versions are hard to get. I don’t mind selling cards at $15 if it is used. If this is the type of quality that the buyers are after then I can say the price is negotiable. "
