Adults fight over 'Animal Kaiser' game machine with kids

Photobucket

These adults refused to let STOMPer fatfoodie's son play the 'Animal Kaiser' game and were seen hogging the game machine for close to an hour.

Mature adults shouldn't fight over a game machine with kids, says the STOMPer. He says:

"This happened at the Time Zone arcade in Compass Point.

"These adults were seen hogging the 'Animal Kaiser' game machine for close to an hour.

"When we asked if they could let my son play just one game, they refused.

"So sad to see adults acting like that and fighting with the kids over kids' games.

"Talk about social ungraciousness."

What others say about this story ?

"Seriously the game does not bring any value to it. I have seen parents bring their child over to arcades to play such games. Talk about parent-children interaction, they just don't have any since the kids are glued to the screen. Stomper, for grace sake. I think u should be happy from such incident happening to you. Someone is hinting you not to bring ur son to play such games anymore."

"First come first serve mate!! this is the rule! they are at no fault. May be u were not that humble when u asked them to let yr son play one game!! U post just becos they don't allow yr precious son to play???Pl lah!!. Unless the arcade put up a big sign.."Entry For Kids Only" by then u shd not be there too!! LoL! U need a very strong surname to demand for everything and always get it in S'pore..get it?? if not just relax one corner bro!!"

"actually, they are not fighting with your kid for the game, they are the one's who actually already there and playing, and you (plus your kid) are the ones trying to fight them for the game, and when you can't get what you want, you stomp them... you're right, talk about social ungraciousness indeed..."

"People in Singapore are so selfish, like most of the people who have commented in this post. If someone's been playing a game for over an hour, that's just rude. At least let someone have a go and play it for what - 5 minutes? Then you'll be able to play again. Also, don't people learn how to take turns?

No wonder Singaporeans are known to be rude."

""Another stupid parent who think their childern are the god or princes and princess that deserve to have the rights when they cry or they are in wrong , they should have everything they want. People pay to play , they come 1st , they play 1st. Dont you know how to teach your kids that 1st come 1st serve and not everything will plan as what they want to be it. Teach them now or next time they just another bunch of fool generation and maybe just maybe they dont even care about u when u old and cant give or help them anything."

"Just because your kid wanted to play, other must stop playing and give up their seat to your kid?
What if your kid is hogging the machine and other kids wanted to play, what will be your response to that?
First come first serve as long they still have the tokens.. :

"STOMPer, if they are seating there and not playing, fine.

But if they put good money into the machine and play, then anything wrong? Is this game only limited to adults? Or is it because you cannot play and feel sore?"

~ rockmydeek

"It's a public funland where you slot in coins or tokens to play the game. So the other players be it adults or children has the right to play as long as like as long as they continue to slot in coins. Why must they oblige to you? Is it a must that you must fulfill your son's desire to play? Can tell him 'let's play another day?' Can or not? Really wuliao post! "

  1. I know this couple, i was there that day. experts know what they are trying to do. what they want is really quite far away. in this case, for me i would let the kids play-first. (usually i pay the coins, the kid play, i get the card.) I might not be right but i think this is the win-win way.

  2. They are fishing a gold card. they will not get up until they got it. So are they right or wrong is depend on which side you are standing for, if you are the fishermen you think is ok to see this, but to the kid, they just want to play the game. for me if the card is still far behind, i will let the kid play, i pay the coin and i get the cards.

  3. I agree with the above 2 comments. So far most comments posted supporting 1st come 1st serve rule sounded like fishermen themselves. Please be reminded that in Japan, whenever you have a kid standing behind you, you are obliged to let up your seat to that kid after your present game, and go queue up after him. If not, he can complain to the arcade operator.

  4. hi,
well maybe the grandfather in TNP is devoted to his grandchildren. but the other children gamers are also others grandchildren. if he needs to occupy his time, he has a right to be there if he pays as it might also bring fond memories to him. but TNP reported that he vacates only when lousy card coming out. other people's grandchildren also feel disappointed u know. actually if he is willing to spend $500 for good cards it might be better to get from internet the gold cards first. then come back to arcade and play. more economical and save time.then all this unhappiness might be avoided. or with $500 can introduce to his grandchildren a PSP Go. plus maybe additional 2 games. i have a PSP and its just as enjoyable. i do feel that everyone has a right to play at the arcade, whatever the age. but if you play and others get unhappy with you, it will also affect your mood. no matter what age the customer also wants to enjoy right? im just wondering from TNP reports that sometimes this grandfather plays from opening to closing time, what does he use to chope the seat if he needs to go washroom? and aiya if people ask for a chance to play they are already lowering their pride to ask. maybe tell the people who asked that can, but only maybe 1 or 2 chances. and that only limited to 1 person and state your time limit to them. then we get back to our game. if they take advantage of the kindness then next time dont give them chance then. if other people see that they don't honour your kindness, word will get around and people will automatically let you play longer. some people go specifically at a certain time to play cos other time of day they got other activities. also their parents seldom bring them out. i think the parent also wants to save money. they probably will only give their kid one chance. i dont go arcades cos i have no time. but last time i play at Yaohan arcade racing car game. if i want to play long also my parents no money. so i ended up playing five stones which my aunt sewed and badminton with a hand me down racquet.
