Sperm whales socializing

A group of 14 sperm whales socializing in the ionian sea.
The sperm whale is the world's largest toothed predator. It also has the largest brain, the largest nose, and lives its life among a strongly bonded family group. These factors alone make sperm whales among the most fascinating creatures on Earth.

Although sperm whales are found around the globe, the Mediterranean sperm whales are classfied as 'endangered'.

This image is a screen shot taken on HD video for a documentary for a series of programs the author is producing about whales in the mediterranean sea.Enjoy!
