The king cobra (Ophiophagus hannah) is the world’s longest venomous snake, with a length up to 5.6 m (18.5 ft). This species is widespread throughout Southeast Asia and parts of India, and is found mostly in forested areas. The king cobra is fierce, agile, and can deliver a large quantity of highly potent venom in a single bite. It is one of the most dangerous and feared Asiatic snakes.


King cobras, like other snakes, receive chemical information (“smell”) via their forked tongues, which pick up scent particles and transfer them to a special sensory receptor (Jacobson’s organ) located in the roof of its mouth. When the scent of a meal is detected, the snake flicks its tongue to gauge the prey’s location (the twin forks of the tongue acting in stereo); it also uses its keen eyesight (king cobras are able to detect moving prey almost 100 m [300 feet] away), intelligence and sensitivity to earth-borne vibration to track its prey.Following envenomation, the king cobra will begin to swallow its struggling prey while its toxins begin the digestion of its victim. King cobras, like all snakes, have flexible jaws. The jaw bones are connected by pliable ligaments, enabling the lower jaw bones to move independently. Like all snakes, the king cobra swallows its prey whole. The expansion of the jaw enables the snake to swallow prey much larger than its head.


King cobras are able to hunt at all times of day, although it is rarely seen at night, leading most herpetologists to classify it as a diurnal species.



The king cobra is a fierce and highly aggressive snake. When threatened, it raises up the anterior portion of its body, flattening the neck, showing the fangs and hissing loudly. It is easily irritated by closely approaching objects or sudden movements. The king cobra attacks quickly, and the strike distance is about 7 feet; people can easily misjudge the safe distance. The king cobra may deliver multiple bites in a single attack, or bite and hold on. Although it is undoubtedly a very dangerous snake, it prefers to escape unless it is cornered or provoked.


If a king cobra encounters a natural predator, such as the mongoose, which has some resistance to the neurotoxins, the snake generally tries to flee. If unable to do so, it forms the distinctive cobra hood and emits a hiss, sometimes with feigned closed-mouth strikes. These efforts usually prove to be very effective, especially since it is more dangerous than other mongoose prey, as well as being much too large for the small mammal to kill with ease.


Bioacoustic analysis of the “growl” of the king cobra has shown that it differs significantly from other snakes. Generally a typical snake hiss has a broad-frequency span (~3,000 to 13,000 Hz) with a dominant frequency near 7,500 Hz whereas the “growl” of the king cobra consists of frequencies below 2,500 Hz, with a dominant frequency near 600 Hz.


King cobra’s genus name, Ophiophagus, literally means “snake-eater”, and its diet consists primarily of other snakes, including rat snakes, sizeable pythons and even other venomous snakes (including kraits, cobras and smaller members of its own species).When food is scarce, they may also feed on other small vertebrates, such as lizards, birds, and rodents. In some cases, the cobra may “constrict” its prey, like birds and larger rodents, using its muscular body, though this is uncommon. After a large meal, the snake may live for many months without another one because of its slow metabolic rate.The king cobra’s most common meal is the ratsnake; this leads them near human settlements.


The venom of the King Cobra is primarily neurotoxic, but also contains cardiotoxic compounds. It is composed mostly of proteins and polypeptides. During a bite, venom is forced through the snake’s half-inch (1.25 cm) fangs and into the wound, and quickly attacks the victim’s central nervous system, and induces severe pain, blurred vision, vertigo, drowsiness, and paralysis. Envenomation progresses to cardiovascular collapse, and the victim falls into a coma. Death soon follows due to respiratory failure.

Smart Buyer versus Stupid Seller

It had been nearly coming to a month since version 4 launch ...thought nobody else will be buying sequence but suddenly received a sms.

This boy text us having the intention to buy card sequence from us ...but he wants a discount ,,,and he request to meet @ Jurong point ,:

Story : Kid buy from another kid the local Siegfried card

This is shared by Chxxx via the chit chat phonecall about this story that happen to herself & her boy. One day both Mother & son was at the arcade center. Son was carrying a album that holds some nice gold & ultra rare local cards inside.

Some times later, another boy approach her son, wanted to view his album. This boy was excited when he saw the shinning ultra rare card - Siegfried and he wanted to buy it.

Chxxx's son told this boy , "$150"

Without any thinking ,this boy immediately took out his wallet and handed over 3 $50 notes ...wow !! he really like this card and he wants to own it for himself

When mother chxxx noticed about this deal ,she becomes worried ,thinking that this $150 could be that boy's tuition fee ...so she told the boy to call his mummy to come so that she is aware and approve of his $150 card purchase

The boy come back with his mummy. The mum said that is his pocket pocket $ and agreed to the $150 deal since her boy like it so much about this card

What a amazing kid-kid card deal that is worth $150 ... nowsaday...kids are really RICH with their parents feeding them lots of pocket money each days.

Welcome newbie to our AK family

"wah. everyone can feel how you (newbie) feel. i am also like you, a newbie a couple of months ago. Now, i am also playing ak for my son. likewise, i starte playing ak to teach my 4yr old son about animals. It does help to a certain extend. try to limit the number of cards you give him. this way, you can sustain his interest. also, try not not let him play more than X number of games.

When i started, i also came online to learn more. But honestly, you cannot get a lot of info unless you really spend time reading all the different ak blogs outthere. i just wanted to get some cards for my son to start; but there were some very BIZ minded people who wants to influence to buy cards. DON’T.

seems like you are v lucky; luckier than me when i started. there are lots of good folks out here willing to give free cards to you. All are nice people: AK cookie, Space shuttle, AKSiao are all old birds and damn nice people.. I also have 1 box of extra V3 cards collecting dust… if you want i can spare you some too.

if you have not played anything cards, just start by getting free animal cards. kids like to see different animals. the ones that are being traded online are typically the bronze, gold, and silver cards; example SOL, Bald eagle, Red Scorpion, Polar, etc. But there are tons and tons of normal animal cards.

The green (strong) cards will make the animals stronger, to last longer. blue (miracle) cards will also make the animal stronger. Of course everytime you play, the machine will give you a new card. There is an order for the new cards but honestly, unless you are a collector, you dont need this order. Until you and your kid CRAVE to make your set of cards complete, then you will start to come on the forum to buy.

If you have limited budget, just start with V3 coz there are many V3 cards. the arcarde is running V4 cards now; however, you can use any version of cards to play in the arcade so don’t worry about what version. Just have fun! But dun be addicted until you are ready to be addicted! haha.

Lastly, most importantly, be reasonable when u play at the arcade. there are express lanes and non-express lanes. typically express lane limits the player no more than 3 games. there is no limit for non-express lanes. there are many experts playing ak to get the good gold cards. they are doing so that they can sell for profit. my opinion, got expert, then go somewhere else to play. dun quarrel, as AKSIAO has said, it is only a game.

Story : Catch 4 Siegfried without any sequence help

"..i heard one auntie who mistaken v3 for v4 and she without seq can fish 4 siegfried ...

one of the siegfried is at my house downstair .... bloody hell i stay so near also dunno and she come all the way from dunno where also manage to fish this foil card out by using only around 10 credits ...

FYI i ask her all the 4 blue tiger how much she spends to get and she tell me on avg each cards cost her around 30- 40 only hor..

so u see with seq also can lose out to a auntie without seq hahahhahaha "

AK Machine hogger play from open door until close shop ?

"Below is the short account of what actually happened last Sunday at Timezone, City Square. For the benefits of those who were not there to witness it. One of my friends and I were queuing at one of the express lane calmly waiting for our turns to play when a commotion broke out over at the other express lane. This women, madam Yang was seen arguing with another lady who was also with her son. They had waited anxiously behind for their chance to play for almost thirty minutes while madam Yang together with her son don't seem to be at all, perturb by it, continue to hoard on to the machine and play numerous time without any sign of leaving to allow others queuing behind them to play. Hence a verbal complaint was made by the lady to the staff counter.

Madam Yang was very angry by the fact that she was being asked to abandon the machine to let others to play and created a commotion over it. She throw a tantrum and even called upon the Timezone staff to pass her the contact number of the manager in charge without even a sense of remorseful feel that what she did earlier was wrong in the first place. The true fact was, she had played more times than the rules of the express lane had permitted. She had in fact played more than 10 times continuously non-stop depriving others of any chance to play. She is a women with a very bad attitude at the very least from a third party point of view and 100 time more boastful than any person that I had met.

Madam Yang threatened to call in the reporter from Shin Ming after the response of the staff or manager was not in her favour. It was coincidental that during that time, Mr Gan was playing at the non-express lane which allow the gamers to play unlimted number of times so long that they have enough credits. I don't see anything wrong with that. My guess was that this Madam Yang wanted to cover up all her misdeeds and reflect badly on others.

The reporter of Shin Min Daily should not have just listened to one sided of the story. Don't report for the sake of reporting and get all the facts right first before even pen down on the journal. By putting the header of the article as "big bully of Animal Kaiser machine" and attached together with it a snapshot photo of Mr Gan may mislead the readers and at the same time doing unjust to him. I feel that this will not only make the situation worst but most importantly it has unintentionally cause much harm to an innocent party.

Hope that the reporter can reflect on themselves and not to be used by some nasty people as a tool for them to show off their arrogance in future.

For the benefit of AK Friends who was not at C Sq on that day I wish to let u know what happened.
This lady Madam Yang was with 2 sons playing at the express lane trying to fish King Cobra.I was playing at the non express lane fishing lowland gorilla (B deck)and Siegfried(C deck). She played more than 3 games and a lady with son Q behind her complaint to the staff to ask her to get up and she get angry and demanded to call the Manager. She raised her voice and threatened to call Shin Min reporter to come. Later a lady reporter(Shin Min) came and interview me what happened . I explianed to her that the quarrel stared from the express lane. I told the lady reporter not to take my photo and publish, She asked me why I hoard the machine , and I replied that I was playing at the non express lane. The lady who compliant had no guts to come out. I played about 110games to get lowland gorilla and siegfried for my grandson and need 3sets. She was jealous because she cannot get gold cards.
This incident is not my concern and I kay poh to explain to the lady reporter and she write rubbish.I am a innocent party . For those AK friends who also try to fish at CS or Parkway,if I had offended you, I really had no intention to do so.

Story : GOLD cards collection for world cup betting

World cup is long over ....but there is still an outstanding issue yet to close.
that is , the winner is still collecting his winning gold cards from more than 10+ different people...Blog master had alreay passed to him our Version 3 red scorpion GOLD during the LEGO fair ...so we had honoured our bet

Its nearly to 1 month since Version 4 official launch ...hence most arcade should be about time to replenish new lot of stock ...new batch may be totally different card sequence as what had happen durng the middle of version 2 ...where suddenly ...all sequence listing become invalid ...and Gold lion become super hard to catch ...nothing really happen during entire version 3 ....but history may happen again for current version 4

Informed by one of the pioneer expert fisherwoman aunty from Yishun...She told us that she encountered 1 small boy going around Timezone selling card sequence @ $2 !!

Wow ...this is interesting ...now sequence become so cheap skate...haha

Note : this experienced Aunty is our valued customer , as she had bought the 3 set of sequence from us during the 1st week of official launch.

Story : A teenager who keep his promise

Jxx told us that sometimes...if you're lucky to meet up some fisherman ...they may buy all the foil cards from you.

This is his experience :
Jxx met 1 fisherman. That time, Jxx had 5 silver starbust cards with him. All these are extra cards that he can let go. This fisherman is interested to take all 5 , but suddenly Jxx remembered that 1 customer had already ask him to reserve 1 silver starbust card & he had agreed to help him keep.

Jxx explained to the fisherman and told him that he can get the other 4 ..since 1 is already reserved.

The fisherman insist to deal all 5 or no deal at all

Jxx , being a honest boy with a good upbringing family background had decided NOT to sell beacuase he had promise to keep that 1 card ...so he will keep his word for it.

In the end of the day , the fisherman did not buy the 4 silver cards & Jxx had managed to contact the customer and sold off the 1 card as promised.

My son was being introduce to this new AK game

"My Son has been bringing back a different AK card almost everyday from his school and said must return to his friend the next day. He said his friend just lent it to him for 1 day. So for the whole day, he will be like showing it to everyone of us and telling us what animal is it and what strength, etc. But no chance to play on the machine cos’ we don’t bring him to arcades. This is the main reason why we decided to use playing the AK machine as a reward system. Sounds very ‘poor thing’, right? You can really imagine his expression when he returns the card to his classmate the next day. I heartache so give in lor! Still have to succumb to the AK craze"

Story : Arcade just open...i'm first customer...

Axx talked about his 1 hit jacket experience @ Timezone

He was there 1 early morning when the arcade just open shop...he go over to the machine to play. Note that he got no idea what is the deck as he did not ask anyone or had been there 1 day ago

1st game ended ...1 GOLD card drop out to Axx 's surprise ...

He mentioned that this can be explained that maybe some fisherman the night before had whack to get the gold ...but somewhere miss out where the Timezone is closing shop and no longer accept anymore credit. Then , the fisherman next morning could not come back to the arcade for follow up to get the Gold ...maybe he's busy with other matters in the morning

Being the very 1st customer and he was lucky to choose the correct machine ...so he get the GOLD ...really lucky !

Story : Whack the whole decks of cards...

Axx told us this story where one day ...he saw this uncle playing all the way ...whack... and he keep the cards in a very pro manner where he don't show it to anyone else what is the card dropped. Axx thought that this uncle must be another fisherman...but to his surprise....that uncle whack more than 100 cards ...then stop and walk away ...wow...Axx checked his sequence ...it is less thgan 10 cards before Ultimate Siefried !!

Too bad ...another young chap sit down almost immdiately and play that few games to get the ultimate rare card !

Axx cannot understand why the uncle had to whack all the way for nothing...wasting of $$ & time only

Story : Version 2 ~ play 3 times get 3 foils

Talked to Jxx for almost 0.5hrs over the phone , he shared with us his amazing experience where he got 3 foils straight from 3 games ...by playing @ ZoneX where the decks are shuffle.

1st game a bronze
2nd game another bronze
3rd & last game ...a nice GOLD Bald Eagle !!

That time is version 2 ....Jxx is still very happy while sharing this story to us
