Andean condors are massive birds, among the largest in the world that are able to fly. Because they are so heavy (up to 33 pounds/15 kilograms), even their enormous 10-foot (3-meter) wingspan needs some help to keep them aloft. For that reason, these birds prefer to live in windy areas where they can glide on air currents with little effort. Andean condors are found in mountainous regions, as their name suggests, but also live near coasts replete with ocean breezes and even deserts that feature strong thermal air currents.

These condors are mostly black, but males have a distinctive white “collar” around their necks and some white markings on their wings as well. Like their relatives, the California condors, Andean condors have bald heads.

The Andean Condor is found in South America in the Andes, including the Santa Marta Mountains. In the north, its range begins in Venezuela and Colombia, where it is extremely rare, then continues south along the Andes in Ecuador, Peru, and Chile, through Bolivia and western Argentina to the Tierra del Fuego. In the early nineteenth century, the Andean Condor bred from western Venezuela to Tierra del Fuego, along the entire chain of the Andes, but its range has been greatly reduced due to human activity. Its habitat is mainly composed of open grasslands and alpine areas up to 5,000 m (16,000 ft) in elevation. It prefers relatively open, non-forested areas which allow it to spot carrion from the air, such as the páramo or rocky, mountainous areas in general. It occasionally ranges to lowlands in eastern Bolivia and southwestern Brazil, descends to lowland desert areas in Chile and Peru, and is found over southern-beech forests in Patagonia

The Andean Condor is a scavenger, feeding mainly on carrion. Wild condors inhabit large territories, often traveling more than 200 km (120 mi) a day in search of carrion. In inland areas, they prefer large carcasses, such as those of dead farm animals or wild deer, while their diet consists mainly of beached carcasses of marine mammals when near the coast. They will also raid the nests of smaller birds to feed on the eggs

The Andean Condor is a national symbol of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. It is the national bird of Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, and Ecuador. It plays an important role in the folklore and mythology of the South American Andean region

Is AK is part of a gambling game?

"Heard from Straits Times online news that AK is part of gambling game, is that true? I also heard few people says it’s like gambling, slot machines appeared, inserting coin/money/swipe cards which costs money for play $2 or lower a game, play and then sometimes we get gold or normal or other foil cards. In there also people wanted to “ban” this game.

People always go hanging out @ arcade and play with their real money, get cards, just like other card-based arcade games. I don’t too believe that this game is a part of gambling when I started AK, then what next? At real gambling we pay to buy some chips or other things, AK for cards. Not only AK but other arcade games like Dinosaur King, etc.

This is a part of children game and I think it contains little gambling with the slot machines and cards.

"My notion that AK per se is not gambling, rather a leisure game that is legalized in an amusement park. However, it will be a different story if :
A) Money or money worth as a form of winning stakes between 2 players
B) Side betting by by-standers on the players with money of money worth as the winning stakes.

Let further study the definition of gambling, in the eyes of Singapore Statutes. Chapter 49 of the Common Gaming House Sec 2(1) says : “gaming” , with its grammatical variations and cognate expressions, means the playing of any game of chance or of mixed chance and skill for money or money’s worth; "
