Komodo dragon or Iguana found @ Singapore ??
STOMPer Robert, a tourist from the UK, spotted a pair of ‘komodo dragons’ at Chinese Garden. He wonders if anyone knows of their presence in this park.
The STOMPer said:
“I thought Komodo Dragons could only be found in Singapore Zoo.
“Is anyone aware of them living wild in Chinese Garden?
“I spotted two today close to the water near the West entrance, one was quite large and disappeared into the water before I could photograph it.|
“The other (about half the size of the first one) I managed to photograph.”
The animal pictured above is however, more likely to be a monitor lizard, as STOMP understands that komodo dragons are rare and hardly found in the wild. There are only 4,000 to 5,000 living komodo dragons in the wild, and they are mostly found in Indonesian islands.

Blog Master : Received feedback that that's only a Monitor Lizard/ Iguana, just a small cosin of the Komodo dragon.
