Freaky finds from the DEEP SEA...

This photo provided by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration ,which carried out the expedition on the ocean floor off Indonesia ,shows a deep sea chimaera. Chimaeras are most closely related to sharks, although their evolutionary lineage branched off from sharks nearly 400 million years ago and they have remained an isolated group ever since



These 3 creatures were part of the colourful and diverse marine life the scientists found on the ocean floor. Scientists used a powerful sonar mapping system and a robotic vehicle to explore nearly 54,000 sq. km of sea floor.
