Badly organised 7-11 AK tournament ~ 2 cases

If we talked about sored losers , misbehaved children , biased referees , chaotic situation etc you have it all in this episode of even as below. I would like to share here with all and hopefully all can be alerted and also 7-11 inc ir IAH can do something to rectify the situation immediately before too late.

Venue : an 7-11 Outlet at Serangoon

Date/ Time: 22/12/2010, 5pm

Happening how:
All duly registered player names(9 pax, including my son,and 3 other primary school boys,I called them X, Y, Z) were entered onto the usual TimeZone OR ZoneX tournament charts,which are all based on standard rule of “DIRECT KNOCKOUT” method,which means losers go home as all know. Nevertheless noone had any question about the order of play as per chart(There was no draw lots even though I queried before the competition started) and the competition started, officiated by a 7-11 storekeeper as the referee. It was observed that the 3 boys and the storekeeper know each other quite well by the way they spoke to each other. .

After 3 matches, when two of the boys X, Y lost their matches, and thus knocked out of the competition, they began to say loudly about having second chance that loser would play loser to continue the tournament instead of going home. I was very shock and surprised that the storekeeper“REFEREE” seem to agree with the two boys and simply let them put down their names onto the chart as if letting them continue. When i protested that there was no such rule and practice ,the two boys X, Y agreed with the “REFEREE” that there was no second chance playing in the tournament. However this is not the end of the dramma.

My son soon fairly and squarely defected the third boy Z and made it to the tournament final and then become the champion winner as per the chart.As you guess, this boy Z sorely‘COMPLAINED’ to the storekeeper after his loss, about the order of play which had nothing wrong except perhaps maybe losers had no second chance to play. Now this time the storekeeper referee listened to the boy complaints , and said that they had second chance playing. the boys said that they did this way “THE PREVIOUS WEEK” of tournament there. OF COURSE I DID NOT AGREE TO SUCH UNPROFESSIONAL CONDUCTS AND MANNERS AND BEFORE YOU KNEW it.. ARGUMENT STARTED, CHAOS BROKE LOSS. IN THE MIDST OF THE CHAOS THE BOY Z STARTED to YELL AND SCREAM AND TALKED VERY RUDELY AND DISRESPECTFULLY IN THE PRESENCE of everyone in the shop. Only I Threaten him by questioning him which was his school and wanted to report to his school such bad behaviours then he relented. But it was not before the storekeeper referee insisted losers played again and winner of the losers played with my son in the Final.I reluctantly agreed to the agreement in order not to waste my time prolonging the chaos and to let my son win honourably with losers mouth shut. .

SO THE GAME GOT TO RESTART FROM HALFWAY. BUT THE DRAMA WAS NOT ENDED YET. BOYS X, Y ACTUALLY DID NOT WANT TO TAKE UP THE CHANCE OFFERED BY THE STOREKEEPER REFEREE TO CONTINUE AND ACTUALLY WANTED TO GO OFF. YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE THIS, THEY WERE STOPPED BY THE STOREKEEPER REFEREE THEN AND SHE EVEN OFFERED COINS MONEY TO THE TWO BOYS X, Y TO PERSUADE THEM TO PLAY SOMEMORE. SO THEY CONTINUED HAPPILY, BUT MAYBE GUILTILY INSIDE THEM.


THE EXTRA MATCHES RESTARTED.AND ONE OF THE LOSERS BOYS, Y, MADE IT THROUGH THE FINAL TO FACE MY SON. IN THIS LAST MATCH. OF COURSE THE OTHER TWO LOSERS BOYS X, Z CHEERED Y ON, AND HE WON THE FIRST ROUND AND LEADING THE SECOND ROUND OVER MY SON. JUSTICE SERVED, MY SON SLOWLY AND EVENTUALLY TURNED THE TABLE AROUND AND WON THE SECOND ROUND. FINAL ROUND MY SON GAVE A BEAUTIFUL “KNOCK OUT PUNCH” WITH THE SCORCH G-ATTACK TO WIN THIS TOURNAMENT, SECOND TIME ACTAULLY, NO THANK TO THE SSTOREKEEPER REFEREE BAISED POSITION. THE 3 BOYS WERE BAD LOSERS, NOT ONLY THEY DID NOT FEEL SORRY FOR WHAT’S WRONG (THEY KNEW THE STANDARD TOURNAMENT RULES WELL FROM THEIR CONVERSATION), THEY STILL SPOKE NONSENCE ABOUT THEIR LOSSES AFTER THE FINAL FINAL.THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVEABLE NAD RIDICULOUS!! .

CONCLUSION AND QUESTIONS (if they read this)to 7-11 INC AND IAH:

--- THIS SIMPLE EVENT TURNED CHAOTIC WAS MAINLY DUE TO THE BIASED AND UNPROFESSIONAL CONDUCTS OF THE STOREKEEPER REFEREE. HOW COULD SHE CHANGE THE RULE OR REVISITING THE CHART ORDER OF PLAY HALFWAY OR RATHER TOWARDS THE END OF THE TOURNAMENT?

--- BY HER CONDUCTS SHE LET THE BOY Z HAD THE CHANCE TO SHOW OFF HIS VERY URGLY AND UNRULY DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOUSBY THE SHOCKING WORDS HE SAID, POOR AND UNSPORTING MANNERS. DOES 7-11 OR LAH WANT TO LET SUCH INCIDENCE CONTINUE AGAIN OR ACTIONS TO CORRECT THE SITUATION IMMEDIATELY? THE 7-11 STOREKEEPERS SIMPLY WERE NOT TRAINED AT ALL TO CONDUCT SUCH TOURNAMENTS, AND WHY LET THEM SCREW UP AND SPOILT THE WHOLE SHOW?

--- THIS IS JUST ANOTHER OF THE MANY EPISODES THAT AK ACTUALLY BROUGHT OUT THE URGLY SIDES OF HUMAN BEINGS INCLUDING CHILDREN SUCH AS THE BOYS X, Y, Z ABOVE. THEY ESPECIALLY BOY Z, WERE BADLY DISCIPLINED AND UNREPENTANT OF THEIR UNSPORTING AND UNRULY BEHAVIOURS. VERY SAD SITUATION, CAN HESE BOYS BE PART OF FUTURE SINGAPORE? AGAIN NO THANKS TO ORGANISERS OR POORLY TRAINED STAFF OR EMPLOYEES.

--- WITH SUCH AK URGLY EPISODES KEEP HAPPENING AGAIN IN SINGAPORE, IT’S PRUDENT AND WISE THAT NAMCO BANDAI ENDS THE AK SERIES NOW RATHER THAN LATER, BEFORE MORE POISONEOUS HARMS OR DAMAGES CAUSED TO OUR DECENT SOCIETY. YOU ALL HAVE WITNESSED THAT MANY PARENTS BROUGHT THEIR KIDS ALONG TO FISH AK CARDS IN ARCADES AND TAUGHT THEIR KIDS ON THE SPOT THE SCHEMING METHODS. HOW CAN WE HAVE A BETTER SOCIETY WITH SUCH KIND OF ADULTS (AND CHILDREN) BEHAVIOURS? GIVEN ALL THE ABOVE I FULLY APPLAUD AND SUPPORT AK GAME ENDS SOON.

Update 23/12/2010:
On my part , I will try to pursue the matter with IAH and 7-11 INC till such situation corrected ,and before more harms done. Such current situation is not doing our children and whole society any good...This morning i had feedback this case to 7-11 INC. They noted my points. Hopefully they will carry out investigation and correct the situations before long.Shall see what they will do. My question to 7-11 INC is why they allow such poorly organised tournaments carried out without due cares and considerations ?

Case (2)

the recent 7-11 Tournament is just rigged. Its not even fair.
Those rules stated behind the tournament slip is not even true.
Say what check for cards la, only can use same cards la blahblah, all crap.
I went to see the happenings, only to see 7-11 so noisy and in chaos. Worst is the ‘official’ 7-11 staff not even there to look at the match, they just let the kids play their own and shout who won, etcetc.
I even saw people using different animal cards when they proceed to the next round.
theres also a kid anyhow ‘haoliao’ his scorch by scanning his card and helping those kids who doesnt really have a gold rare etc.

Me: you think you got one dumb scorch you very good meh? just play your own match and dont distub other players la. -.-
